STEP 1 - Blister the Tomatoes
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a frying pan over high heat. Add the whole cherry tomatoes and cook for 5–6 minutes, shaking the pan frequently, until they become soft, blistered, and slightly charred. If the oil starts to spit, cover the pan with a lid while continuing to shake it occasionally.

STEP 2 - Infuse the Aromatics
Reduce the heat to low. Add your finely sliced garlic to the pan with the tomatoes and cook gently for about 1 minute until fragrant and just turning light golden.

STEP 3 - Simmer the Stew
Pour in the full 400g tin of chickpeas along with all of their liquid—the rich stock will help deglaze the bottom of the pan. Simmer over medium heat until the liquid reduces by half. Stir in the harissa paste and let everything simmer together for another 2–3 minutes until thick and glossy. Taste before adding any salt, as the chickpeas and harissa are naturally well-seasoned.

STEP 4 - Prepare the Herby Yogurt
While the stew simmers, give your Cbovero Herby Yogurt a thorough stir to blend the dill, capers, and lemon zest smoothly. Optional: If you love a punchy kick, grate a clove of fresh garlic directly into the yogurt and mix well. Season to taste.

STEP 5 - Serve & Enjoy
Spoon the warm, bubbling harissa chickpea stew into a bowl. Crown it with a generous dollop of the cool herby yogurt. Serve warm alongside some focaccia. Enjoy my dear.

Chef's Notes
Don't throw away that thick, starchy liquid inside the chickpea tin! That "aquafaba" is pure culinary magic—it binds with the olive oil and tomato juices to create a thick, velvety stew base without needing any added flour or heavy cream.
